Can anyone tell me the best suppliers of balloons, parachutes, rigging, and related launch supplies.
I especially would like to know which materials fail and should not be launched.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Almost all of our balloons have been purchased from Kaymont (www.kaymont.com) - Paul is great to work with.

Our parachute supplier is Spherachutes (www.spherachutes.com) Don't forgot to order the crossed cords over the vent hole to attach the balloon.

Our payload boxes are constructed from styrofoam layers epoxied together with 2 hour epoxy. The boxes are covered in emergency blanket mylar film.

We used 200 lb test planar board cord and swivel hooks from any fishing gear supplier to connect our boxes.

APRS units use Garmin 18 GPS and MicroTrak 300 transmitters (assuming you have a amateur radio license).

We haven't had any problems with failures.
