Yes, most of the time we fly the Garmin-18 and MicroTrak 300. I also fly a newer unit with the frequency agile MicroTrak8000. Stratostar has nice systems that are ready to fly.

Thanks for sharing the nice video. If you can afford it, I'd encourage you to fly a 2-meter APRS radio unit to give an independent tracking system.

After a lot of problems with the weather, we finally caught a break on Saturday November 13, 2010 and Penn State Wilkes-Barre got to have its first High Altitude Balloon launch. Somehow I messed up at the time of inflating the balloon: It was way underinflated. I should have known better and filled it up with a whole tank of Helium, but everybody commented that it seemed very full and we stopped inflating it. And we forgot to measure the lift.
