Final Extraction of Pods
Daviess-Martin REMC was called in by helpful neighbors to make the final extraction of pods, parachute and balloon remnant caught in a tree on the edge of West Boggs Lake in eastern Daviess County, IN.
The high altitude balloon flight by USI engineering students took place on Saturday October 24, 2009.

Thanks for sharing the video of the recovery. I had wondered about the landing spot based on the APRS data on the internet.
I still prefer tree landings to lake landings :)
Hope the students have some good data.
